A Great Big Sled

Our favorite place to run barefoot in the warm, summer grass is now a popular destination to engage in downhill sledding. What used to be a tranquil park with only whispers coming from the sunbathers is now filled with laughter, screams of delight, and an occasional cry from the many children enjoying the winter snow.


We spent over 2 hours there today. The repetitive course of walking up the hill with the boys, waiting for it to be your turn, and then finally racing to the bottom with as much speed as possible seemed to bring a smile to faces of all ages. Daddy and I even took a turn. Despite the below freezing temperatures, the day appeared warm with blue skies and bright sunshine.
